I’M THE PERSON BEHIND THE CAMERA

Welcome to 4ever Moore Photography. I'm Porter Moore III, a Birmingham-based sports photographer and certified public affairs and media professional. My camera takes me from Friday night lights at high schools across the Birmingham metro to professional venues around the Southeast. Beyond the lens, I'm expanding into writing. This site now features blog coverage of local high school athletics across multiple sports, with game recaps, athlete spotlights, and stories from the sidelines. Every athlete has a story. My job is to tell it well, in pictures and in words.

My storytelling career started in Iraq in 2004, writing for a garrison newspaper and covering Army events on a local Air Force base. After that deployment, I focused on my military career and my family, and the camera stayed on the shelf for a while.

In 2022, I picked it back up, shooting local high school events and club volleyball around Birmingham. The work grew fast. Military travel as Chief of Public Affairs put me in cities across the country, and I brought my camera everywhere. Since then, I've shot United Vibe Volleyball, Atlanta United FC, the DC Defenders, and the Birmingham Squadron.

Today, 4ever Moore Photography combines both sides of that journey. I shoot the games, and I write the stories, covering high school athletics across the Birmingham metro alongside professional venues throughout the Southeast.
